Zakat Appeal for Rohingya Children Education & Development
As-Salam-u-Alaikum respected Imam and Board members,
I am reaching out on behalf of BASMAH, a 501(c)(3) non-profit providing aid to Rohingya refugees and underserved communities. Since 2017, thousands of Rohingya have relied on humanitarian aid after escaping genocide. Now, many are resettling in the U.S., and BASMAH is expanding efforts to support refugee education and relief.
Alhamdulillah, in 2024, BASMAH collaboratively worked with the Islamic Center of Rowlett in Dallas, BASMAH Center of Chicago, and BASMAH Center of Buffalo, New York. We humbly request your masjid’s Zakat support this Ramadan to help sustain these programs:

Part-Time Mother’s Helper/Nanny in Marin County (Novato)
We are looking for a mother’s helper 2-2.5 days a week for our 2 daughters (20 months and 1 month old ).
Schedule:
– Tuesday 7am – 3:30pm
– Thursday 7:45am- 4pm
– Possible 1/2 day on Wednesday 7am-12:30pm.
Flexible timing depending on day.
Job description:
Assisting with children’s care (feeding, playing, changing/potty)
Light housework notably for child related messes/needs.
Possibly some driving short distances in town (ie. park) and light meal prep.
Qualifications:
Must have 2+ years experience with young infants and toddlers.
Preferred CPR trained or willing to complete CPR training.
English proficient (major plus if Arabic speaking!)
References required.
Trial period starting February (a few half days per week). I am currently on maternity leave until early April, the full day schedule to start then 🙂
